自己PR

When teaching, I strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment and encourage students to be confident users of English. I plan lessons based on the language learning needs of students while focussing on, authentic language use, intercultural awareness, and communitive competence. I aim to teach language that is useful for students' daily lives, future study and careers.

My research interests include, social pragmatics, bilingualism, and the process of first and second language acquisition.

□English 1 & 2 - Courses that aim to improve English communication skills for use in various situations with emphasis on developing students’ productive skills to improve fluency and confidence.

 

□English 3 & 4 - Courses that focus on department-specific English for health and welfare studies to help students develop the skills and confidence needed to use English in their future careers.
