　My teaching approach with Japanese university students emphasizes a student-centered, communicative methodology designed to build confidence in English as a practical skill, rather than simply an academic subject. By prioritizing interactive learning and real-world language use, I encourage students to actively participate in meaningful communication. 
　

 My current research focuses on leveraging students' passive vocabulary to enhance fluency. Since passive vocabulary often exceeds active usage, tapping into this existing knowledge helps learners improve fluency and facilitates smoother communication.
